Funding. We are pleased to announce that we have secured £5,000 funding. We are putting the money to good use. We have taken the views, expressed at the AGM, by our villagers and will soon reveal plans for a new village sign.We are also planning other ways to spend the cash to enhance village life.

Our committee members have worked extremely hard to secure this money, from Grass Roots. But we aint stopping there. We have already set our sights on a further £10,000 fund available. This is all within our remit to make the village a better place to live. We are already speculating as to which dignitary should unveil this historic moment and grand occasion, please send in your suggestions.

We are firmly on target with our 5 year plan. Will are working hard to replace the signage and village lighting to something more appropriate to improve the historic ambience of the village. We are also making progress to secure new bins on The Green. Please support us wherever and whenever you can.

Andrew Curtin Guest Speaker Our 2009 AGM was treated to a very entertaining talk by Andrew Curtin. The full text of the talk titled

Surveys and consultations are to be taken so please visit our survey page and let us know what you think.

Please take time to join us, the more on board, the more clout we have!! We'll keep you in touch with all the latest ideas we have for your village and how you can help us achieve them!

We have developed a 5 year plan that we hope to implement at various stages in the future.Simpler tasks such as getting better bins for The Green and organising events (such as Horseman's Sunday ) we hope to achieve much earlier than say having our very own village signage and lighting, and even an actual village sign.

These processes take a long time and we need as much help as possible from the locals through taking part in the consultation exercises etc.

We're a long way off but we hope to at some point approach the council with a good business plan and consultation backed up by the villagers

Collier Row have done it, they have their very own street lighting. Gidea Park , another conservation area, have had their own posh signage for years. So come on and do something about it, join us, make the place you live a better place to live, after all we are supposed to be the historical capital of Havering.
